A range of services to support long-term forest health

Forest maintenance is about keeping woodland healthy, safe, and functioning as it should. We carry out ongoing management work such as thinning, access maintenance, ride and path management, and selective removal of problem trees. This ensures forests remain resilient as they mature, supports biodiversity, and prevents small issues from becoming costly problems later.

Clearing is undertaken whether to improve woodland structure, prepare land for replanting, manage safety risks, or enable development and access. We approach all clearance work with an understanding of ecological impact, legal requirements, and long-term land use, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, responsibly, and with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.

Responsible fire risk management

In a recent talk following Scotland’s largest wildfire, Cawdor Forestry highlighted the importance of roadside mulching and firebreaks for fire prevention. You might think a wildfire would never affect your site. However, seasons are becoming hotter and drier. In recent years, wildfires have increased across Scotland and the UK.

At Boreal Forestry, we specialise in roadside mulching and clearance to remove vegetation, improve access, and strengthen site resilience.
